Deidre Delhomme Montgomery received her B.S. Degree in Science Education from USL in 1984 and taught high school for three years before family life became her classroom. Deidre has been married to Tommy for 32 years and enters the second half of life watching their four children spread wings and fly. Along the way she discovered the importance of holding space for others and manifests her gifts by connecting people of like-minded interests, and spending time being a witness to the joys and sorrows of others. Her life is a continual practice of belonging, to herself and to others.
“True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.” - Brene Brown
Deidre is on the path to recognizing who she always was through God’s eyes, uncovering her original goodness. She enjoys meeting fellow pilgrims with fascinating stories of courage, resilience and strength. She is eternally grateful to the community of circles that exist in the heart of Lafayette, each helping her to grow into her full potential. Her hope is to inspire others, especially women, to see and acknowledge their innate inner beauty. She believes that love is the answer to healing the world, one person at a time.
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, There is a field, I’ll meet you there. - Rumi
